The Booking Process
From booking request to wedding day
The booking process is the same for every couple. Five steps, all confirmed in writing, no surprises.
Send your booking request
WhatsApp, phone, or the booking form below. Include your dates, island preference, package interest, and guest count. The more specific you are, the faster I can give you a useful quote.
Receive your written quote (within 24 hours)
I reply with a written quote: package details, add-ons, total cost, deposit amount, balance schedule, and rescheduling terms. If your timeline has any issues (24-hour rule, weekend closure, peak season conflicts), I flag them upfront.
Confirm details and ask questions
Review the quote, ask anything that is unclear, finalize add-ons, and confirm the date. We agree on every line item before any payment is made. Changes at this stage are easy.
Pay the 35% booking deposit, date is locked in
The 35% booking fee secures your wedding date. Payment via Zelle, PayPal (credit card accepted through PayPal), bank transfer, or wire. You receive a written confirmation, a receipt, and a signed agreement. Your date is now mine to deliver on.
Planning, paperwork, wedding day
I prepare your marriage license paperwork, coordinate vendors, and check in on details as the date approaches. Final balance is due 30 days before the wedding service date. On the day, I officiate the legal ceremony, sign the register, and file Form 9 with the Registry. Your certified marriage certificate (and apostille if needed) follow on the priority or standard timeline.
Before You Book
What you need to lock in your date
You do not need every detail finalized to send a booking request, just enough to give me a real picture. Most of these can be approximate or "discuss with Glenn."
What helps move things along
- A firm or near-firm wedding date. Even a date range is fine if you are still finalizing travel.
- Both partners' full legal names. As they appear on your passports, this is what goes on the marriage license.
- Island preference (or "not sure, recommend one"). I match the island to your style, guests, and budget.
- Approximate guest count. Count both partners as 2. If just the two of you, I provide the required witnesses.
- Package interest. Match to one of my 12 packages or ask me to recommend based on your budget.
- Approximate budget. A range is fine. I quote honestly across what you tell me.
- Travel awareness. Note the 24-hour residency rule and the Registrar General's Department weekend closure (Thursday arrival required for weekend ceremonies).
- Priority service decision. If your timeline is tight, mention it. Priority service can deliver an apostilled marriage certificate in as little as 3 business days.
Deposit & Payment
How the money works, plainly
Wedding payments should be predictable. Here is how I structure them.
Booking deposit
35% of the package total to secure your date. This is the non-refundable booking fee, applied directly to your wedding services. Specific dollar amount confirmed in your written quote before payment.
Final balance
Remaining 65% due 30 days before the wedding service date. Specific due date is in your written quote. Once paid, the balance is also non-refundable.
Payment methods
Zelle, PayPal (which also accepts credit cards), bank transfer, and wire. Specific payment instructions are sent with your written quote. Every payment is documented and receipted.
Rescheduling fee
A US$150 minimum rescheduling fee applies to any date change you initiate after booking. For force majeure (serious illness, weather disruptions, travel disruption), Glenn works with couples to find a workable solution rather than forfeit.
One additional line item to expect: a 25% charge for Government VAT, online transfer costs, and banking fees is added to the subtotal of your invoice. This covers Bahamas VAT and the actual cost of moving money across borders. All amounts are in USD/BSD (treated at par). Gratuity is not included. Resort or cruise ship facility costs are billed separately by those venues.
Written agreement first, payment second. No deposit is requested until you have a written quote in your hands and you have confirmed every line item. Your full payment terms, total cost, deposit amount, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy are all detailed before you commit a dollar.

Booking Questions
Questions couples ask before booking
FAQ
How much is the deposit to book a Bahamas wedding?
35% of the package total to secure your date. This is the non-refundable booking fee, applied directly to your wedding services. The exact amount in dollars is confirmed in your written quote before any payment is made. The remaining 65% is due 30 days before the wedding service date.
What payment methods do you accept?
Zelle, PayPal (which also accepts credit cards), bank transfer, and wire. Specific payment instructions are sent with your written quote. I do not collect payment through this website. All payments are documented in writing and receipts are provided.
Is the deposit refundable?
The 35% booking deposit is non-refundable for client cancellations. It is only refunded if I cannot provide services due to unforeseen circumstances on my end. For force majeure (serious illness, weather disruptions, major travel issues), I work with couples to reschedule rather than forfeit, subject to the rescheduling fee below. The remaining balance, once paid, is also non-refundable. All terms are transparent in your written quote before any payment is made.
Can I change my wedding date after booking?
Yes, with notice. A US$150 minimum rescheduling fee applies to any date change you initiate after booking. Date changes also depend on the new date's availability, venue rebooking (if a resort or villa is involved), and vendor schedules. Earlier notice means easier rescheduling and may avoid additional vendor fees. WhatsApp me as soon as you know.
When is the final balance due?
The remaining 65% balance is due 30 days before the wedding service date. This deadline is confirmed in your written quote. Paying the balance well before the wedding means the day itself is paperwork-free. Once paid, the balance is non-refundable.
Do you require a written contract?
Yes. Every booking is confirmed in writing with package details, dates, add-ons, total cost (including the 25% VAT/banking line), 35% deposit amount, final balance due date (30 days before service), and rescheduling terms. You can see a sample of the actual invoice format at the invoice template page. No verbal agreements, no surprises.
Are there any additional charges beyond the package price?
Three line items to be aware of, all transparent in your written quote: (1) A 25% charge for Government VAT, online transfer costs, and banking fees is added to the subtotal of your invoice. This covers Bahamas VAT and the actual cost of moving money across borders. (2) Gratuity is not included in package pricing. Gratuity is at your discretion. (3) Resort or cruise ship facility costs (venue fees, beach access fees, ship-based ceremony fees) are billed separately by those venues, not by me. All amounts are in USD or BSD (treated at par).
Can I add services like photography or flowers after booking?
Yes, depending on vendor availability and timing. Add-ons added closer to the wedding date depend on what is still available. I confirm what is possible at any point in the process. WhatsApp me to check availability.
How quickly will I hear back after submitting a booking request?
Within 24 hours, usually within a few hours during Bahamas daytime. My reply includes a written quote with all costs, payment terms, and the next steps. If your timeline is unrealistic or has any flags, I tell you upfront rather than letting you discover it later.
